Helpful consumer’s review
I have owned other Canon A series compacts, but in my opinion this one is a step backwards. Picture quality was as good as any other camera I have used recently, but I can’t recommend it for the following reasons. Firstly it has a command dial on top, which was encouraging – but no manual setting on the dial. Secondly, build quality is not good – the plastic feels cheap and slippery, the reduced/smoothed hand grip doesn’t help. Finally the screen is low resolution, now well behind the competition. There are lots of similar priced digicams out there with manual options, metal bodies and higher resolution screens. My advice is to look elsewhere.
