Helpful consumer’s review
I bought this as a gift for someone who does not want to use a PC but likes printing their own photos. (It replaced an old Epson Picturemate photo printer that went wrong.) I was very impressed at the amount of things you can do with it, including adding text, clipart, frames, etc. It can automatically remove red eye too, which is something the previous printer lacked. We were also pleased to see you can print 2 photos to a sheet (an option we were glad this printer had as we found it useful with the old Epson).
Make sure you order a spare ink cartridge and photo paper when ordering as the trial cartridge that comes with it is only supposed to print something like 8 pages before it runs out. (We found our photo paper left over from our Epson worked just as well in this printer.)
Overall we are very impressed with the capabilities considering it is not connected to a PC. A perfect gift for any photographer who doesn’t own (or want to use) a computer.
