Like a previous reviewer, I bought this to compliment a digital SLR, and first impressions are very good. Build quality is excellent and whilst the camera is very small, the controls are easy to use (I have man-size hands!). Image quality is excellent and if you want more than point and shoot there is white balance, colour and iso control, all of which are quick to access. The LCD is big and clear, if a little slow with movement. Looks more expensive than it is too! 3x zoom is fine for most situations and with 8mp images you can always crop images if you need to get closer. Make sure you get a good sized SD card – images are around 3-4mb each and the videos can soon take up many mb’s of space.
