Helpful consumer’s review
Biggest pro for me is that this little HD camcorder has a viewfinder which is absent on just about all its competitors, it is also robustly made and the battery life appears excellent but the price of a spare battery is high. It has enough features and controls to make it flexible but without being complicated. A poor design feature is the fact that you have your fingers in the way operating the tiny and a bit fiddly joy stick while you are reviewing the video, it is not touch screen as with my previous Sony camcorder. I find with mine that in sunny conditions faces are slightly burnt out but that is overcome using the iA exposure control which you might argue should not be necessary if it got exposure right in the first place. On the whole I would recommend it and hope that a later model makes the review controls better and improves exposure control.
